Projects

Opportunities continued to open in-front of me, I am now grateful that i took all the chances to help myself become a better writer.

Behind all attached drafts in this section, multiple drafts were shredded, some of them were edited and improved to finally end up with pieces that make me feel proud.

I encourage you to start by getting to know the projects that I worked on through this semester by reading my cover letter.

Project 1

Just Like My Country, Occupied

This piece will always be the closest one to my heart. It is the piece I started this semester with, it is where I discovered a lot about myself and how a simple prompt managed to bring the feelings which I never spoke about to anyone all to the light, they were all translated into words.

Everything is hard at the beginning, so was this piece, it was the first one and probably the most difficult one. But I finally managed to have everything right as it should, I wrote all what was in my mind, all what was in my heart, I tried my best and after a long process of editing, multiple drafts and modifying, this piece turned to be my favorite, it really made me proud!

Project 2

My Hundred-Mile Journey

Doing a digital project was never fun as this. I still do not know the reason why, maybe because it is a payback to my father since he played a very important role in my hundred-mile journey, or maybe because it reminded me of how I came out from the depths of phobia to the skies of passion.

This project was different, it was difficult at some points, it took a long time to finish, it was tiring, but it all paid off when it was done. It taught me how to take care of the smallest details, the music, voice-over tone, use of pictures and videos, and most importantly, the script. It was painful when deleting half of the original piece, but it taught me to decide what are the things that the audience need to know.

Project 3

On The Other Side Of The Wall

A new experience that took me away to Bethlehem and to the city where Banksy lives. Choosing one piece to rhetorically analyze was difficult, but when I saw 'The unwelcome intervention' painting, I felt a connection being made with details that truly amazed me. So, I knew this is one, and that is why I chose it to be the art craft which my piece of writing is about.
A different project, with different expectations, different way of writing, less emotions and more of thoughts, ideas, and arguments, trying to understand the rhetorical situation, critically analyze the piece and to understand Bansky's point of view when he drew it, listen and interview different people about their opinions and pay attention to every single detail in it.
